Task of the “ROI Camp” is to show the participants a strategy how prospects can shorten sales cycles and have more success by pointing out “value” to them. The focus lies on the economic value that a new ERP system can offer. Main part of the strategy is to show the prospects that a new ERP system can help to increase profit and decrease costs. As soon as the prospects realizes the fact that they will have their invested money back in a few months and that the interest that the invested money earns is higher than the interest on a bank investment, it will help to decide for an investment on an ERP system.

The participants at first learn the basics of investment calculation. They learn what the “ROI” (return on investment) is and how to calculate it. The usually used methods like “net present value / internal rate of return / payback method” are also part of the lecture.

The introduction of the Project Performance Analyzer (free of charge from PDAgroup) follows. It offers a fundamental simplification of the calculation by taking charge of all calculation processes and offering then the above-mentioned results like NPV / IRR or payback. The participants learn how to work with the analyzer and how they can use it via internet in the future. Exercises with case study are part of the program. Participants learn to gather the relevant information from the prospect, by using appropriate questions. They learn how to fill this information in the analyzer and to use it in a sales pitch. Group work and role-plays help them to understand and to work with this strategy in the daily business.
